Moments In Time

Well, to catch up a little:

We had Thanksgiving as a family with everyone on Thursday at my son's home. Yes, way too much food, but lots of fun and laughs and good times.

I had wondered while ironing my pants to go if the "X" on the backside that seemingly would not iron out was indicative of where the meal was to rest on my body!!

Yesterday, the boys took a day out on the boat and the girls took a day to Mount Dora!! Yay!! We had alot of fun---#4, #5, my niece and DIL and me!! There was a large group of people in the town, however, for some special occasion (never figured it out).....and believe it or not, a group of motorcyclists from Tampa!!LOL

#4 was able to find jewelry displays for her wares and we got a notepad for a friend for Christmas. And oh, yeah, we had lunch. Mine was a wheat wrap with turkey and cranberries with sweet potato fries on the side!

Well, this Thanksgiving I am thankful for grace and mercy and the faithfulness of our Father. Yes, I am reminded daily that I do not deserve my salvation nor any of the graces offered by my heavenly Father!! I will strive, however a day at a time to be His child in whom He is well pleased!!

To you, all my friends, thanks for being there , commenting along this journey and for writing your thought to encourage me!!

Sufficient

I am reminded of the children's song:"
My God is so great, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do."

I have led many groups of children as they sang this. It strikes me that they can know the song, but until God allows a bump in the road, they cannot know the greatness of our Lord!!You have to be at a dead end before God shows you a new way to turn....at the feeling of hopelessness when He shows you hope; and to get up each day with adversity about you for you to feel grace!! Then in my weakness, He makes me strong!!

We have had a lot of dead ends recently, but God is bringing us through!! And when all was lost, hope sprang eternal, and God alone provided a way for us to keep on keeping on!!God has blessed us with some work, the girls have some piano students, and a regular well paying babysitting job. We picked up an office cleaning job, too!! Busy , yes, but it is for such a time as this!!

God has been talking to me through His word. Funny how you can find things speaking to you for your situation that day in Psalms and Proverbs!! Also, while in Corinthians, God impressed me to be a servant above all!! And to give....we need to give to those planting churches as well as on the mission field. You cannot out give God!! Remember it is because of God we have ANYTHING!!

Are you leading others by your testimony and actions?? I weigh this constantly. I am not always tempered in my actions, and must rely on God's grace to get me through the moment.

I have not been blogging, not because I lost hope, I just felt I had nothing to say at that time!!

Thanks for sharing your walk of faith also!!
