Tenants
Not wishing our wildlife around our house to starve (I believed that all the building in our area made it hard for the animals to find sufficient food).... I started throwing out bread and crackers and popcorn or peanuts to subsidize the diets of our little friends, be they feathered or furry!
Well, since we do not have any cats or dogs (only the snake....SHHSHSHHSHHHHH......do not want to buy a micro chip or permit since it does not really belong to me, but to our second and third born who have vacated the premises...sorta!).......the population of bird and squirrels has greatly increased.
We once had swamp sparrows who nested in our laundry room....and they also do in our hanging pot of plants on our porch (which I might add, I have had many years startles off my life by them flying out when I water the plants----not knowing they have taken up residence in the pots!!)....they now have grand children and great grand living around our house and in the grapevine ivy!!
Well, the squirrels have been quite brazen and sit in the pine trees munching on the cones, and they mockingly make their clicking noise and proceed to throw the leftovers down at opportune times..........like just as you are walking to the car or getting out of the car!! We believe the clicking noise is actually a laugh!!
Now on to the dilemma.....one brave squirrel has decided to move into his own penthouse condo!! However, the condo happens to be our chimney!! To further the complaint, in between the walls of our fireplace. I caught him moving sticks to build a nest that were three feet long, and he did this at sundry times throughout a couple of weeks. Now every night just after dark, he rearranges the furniture, so we as good landlords bang on the inside of the fireplace. (NO, WE HAVE NOT HAD THE LACK OF COMPASSION ENOUGH TO BUILD A FIRE THERE!!! I am afraid of the roasted wildlife smell that would permeate our home!!).......
A couple of weeks ago, when I went out to turn on the water hose, he was in a crack with a paw hanging out, just chilling, enjoying the view from the picture window!! The girls got a picture, but when my hubby went to get a phone pic, he backed into the recesses of his new "borough"!!
He still resides there---living the life of a Riley----wonder if he plans on having his grandkids move in or grow up there???
The snake needs a meal............ HHMMHMHMHMMMMMMMM
No, I am not that heartless!!!
Any ideas on how to terminate the Lease Agreement????????

Oh how funny! Sticks 3 ft. long, really? He must have a good work ethic at least!
Sorry I don't have any suggestions on how to evict him!

Sounds like he has a nice set up. Perhaps you should just move in with him! Or maybe he is plotting a plan to evict you! Keep your eyes open!

Ha ha ha. the snake surely could solve the squirrel problem but then... I am curious as to what kind of snake it it?

The snake is a ball python---full grown (about 5 feet....)
Of course it was a "stray" my boys brought home to me with smiles on their faces....
